No Free Puppies!
Son-in-law David’s birthday as Thursday, but as he was away at a medical workshop, we celebrated his birthday yesterday. It was fun and low-key, with a game of Ticket to Ride before dinner, then watching “The Princess Bride” after dinner and the birthday cake. It’s nice we get to have birthday celebrations now and then, isn’t it?
I had my colonoscopy today and it was perfectly normal, so no need to make an unplanned trip out of the country for more studies. Thanks to those of you who prayed for my state of mind these past few days.
There is an email going around from “Rev. Mike Blyth” claiming that we are selling some puppies. Actually, they’re free, you just have to pay $300 for shipping. Do you smell a rat? You should, if you know us. For one thing, the author of the email can’t spell. For another, I’m not a “Rev.” But, most of all, never respond to an email asking for money, from us or anyone else, unless you have a really good way of verifying it. But I’m sure you all already know that.

Sooooo glad to hear that your test was perfectly normal! I know you and Barb must be so relieved.
How would you ship these free puppies? Do they put them in a box with a stamp? Because you know if that box gets lost in a Nigeria post office then the rats will probably eat them first. It happened to my tootsie rolls so I’m sure it will happen to the puppies.

Actually, the puppies were to be shipped in proper containers, though it didn’t say whether from the US (maybe I had left them there?) or Nigeria. Yeah, right.

Wow, I am really glad I googled your name and found this website. I almost got fooled by this person claiming to be you as well. This guy told me in the first email that the breeder of his “babies” forwarded my email on to him regarding me wanting to adopt one of them. And he said that he was only giving out these “babies” to a good and loving home. Then in the next email it said “ok just send me your full address and personal info as well as your phone number and the closest airport for very fast delievery.. get back to me asap.” I thought to myself… wow all of a sudden he is real confident that I have a “good and loving home” for his “babies.” So i thought I would google this guy and came across this website. Which I am very pleased about.. so thank you for posting this!

I’m glad to know that at least you two, Nadia & Ali, have been smart enough to do a little background checking before falling into this scam!

Yeah i’m pretty glad I a little research. I tried emailing him back today but he cancelled his email address that was listed. And it was just yesterday that this all happened. So who knows..

Hi, While looking for Tea Cup Yorkie Pups yesterday here in Morristown TN , I stumbled across that. I sent and email asking about the puppies. I have wanted one of those puppies for about 10 years now and he claimed that there were two of them.
Well , I got a little excited! I talked to my very close friend about it and he said it could possibly be a scam. So , I searched up Rev. Mike Blyth and found this. I almost got scammed by this guy.
Who is he? He said he is in Nigeria and that’s where the “babies” (puppies) are.
How can we bring some justice to this person? I don’t think that it’s right to use someone’s name to do things like this. It’s a shame when you are really looking hard for something you have wanted for 10 years and it turns out to be a scam especially when they are using someone else’s name.
I’m really sorry this happend to you. I will try and find out a way to get this person.
