Dad, please tell Magit we grieve for him and his family. As a father of two boys now, my heart would break to know my son committed a crime and then died for it. Perhaps Magit would appreciate reading Cry of the Beloved Country? May Jesus be his rock and his comfort right now.

Hi Mike,

It was great to come across your blog. Having lived in Nairobi where the threat of violence is always hanging overhead, I think I can understand the trauma that you must have gone through. Being trapped in the compound with gunfire outside is very frightening. I live in the US at the moment, and although I miss Africa desperately, the absence if serious violence is one thing I can appreciate for a while. I have some friends in Ibadan - IITA. I hope my husband and I may join them working there in due course.
