Evangel Hospital could not function the way it does without the help of many people from around the world. There are many ways you can help, and here are some of them.

Financial Support
- Patient assistance fund. Evangel is self-supporting in that we do not receive significant government assistance nor a budget from donor organizations or missions. Many patients are very poor, some totally destitute, but we try to care for as many as we can with the help of the patient assistance fund. This money goes directly into paying the bills for patients who cannot afford to pay the entire amount.
- Pediatric fund: This is the same as the patient assistance fund, but specifically for children.
- HIV/AIDS programs for children and adults.
- Hospital improvement projects. These are projects for major capital expenses such as an x-ray machine or the renovation of a ward. See a current list of projects and the news files about them.
- Medical education fund. As a teaching hospital, we have significant expenses for medical education, that is, teaching our residents and house officers. For example, computers, conferences, photocopying, Internet access, travel for examinations, and so on.
Come and Help
We are always interested in having committed Christian health care professionals come to work with us for a short time (weeks or months) or long time (years). Although we have specific openings at any given time, you might also be able to make a big contribution even if you don't fit into one of those categories. Contact

Supplies and Equipment
There are some types of supplies and equipment that can be very useful to us and can be sent from abroad (or given within Nigeria). However, because there are some important considerations, you should

before sending anything. Some of the considerations are:
- Most things that are sent here will end up coming by excess baggage carried by a traveler, at a cost of around $3.00 per pound. Thus things that are relatively light and valuable are more worth sending from abroad than things that are heavy and less valuable.
- Most basic medical supplies be purchased here in Jos.
- No drugs can be sent because of import restrictions.
- Equipment maintenance is a big consideration. Even the most wonderful, advanced equipment will not help us if we cannot fix it (or send it to get fixed) when it breaks.
