There are three main groups of doctors at Evangel. The consultants are
more or less permanent and have specialist qualifications. Currently,
we have nine consultants including four Nigerian and five missionary
doctors. The second is group is the doctors in our residency and house
officer (=internship) training programs. We usually have about 12-15
registrars (residents) and 4 house officers (interns). Finally, there
are usually two or three medical officers who have completed their
general medical training and, in most cases, are preparing to
enter an advanced training program.
